The summer term is here! We have lots planned over the next few months, much of which will be outside, so fingers crossed for some warm and sunny weather.

The Friends will be holding an Easter Egg Hunt to start the term, after school on April 18th. It should be fun, so come along and join them. This is followed by the Easter Bank Holiday weekend when the school will be closed on Friday April 19th and Monday April 22nd.

Not long after the Bank Holiday, the Komodo Dragons travel to Conway, for their arts education in a multi-cultural society residential. This three day residential develops the children’s understanding of the world and the different cultures in our society. The children have the opportunity to develop a range of skills including art, music and dance.

The whole school will be ‘out and about’ later in the half term during our Geography Explorers Day. This is a great opportunity for the children to develop important field work skills in the geography curriculum. This will include map reading, collecting and analysing data and taking measurements.

We start the final half term of the year with our sports day. Fingers crossed for some dry and sunny weather! Soon after, our Jaguars take to the road as they visit Conway for their residential. The children will have the chance to challenge themselves in lots of outdoor activities, including abseiling, canoeing and rock climbing! This is a great way for the Jaguars to develop some new skills and really test themselves during activities that many of them will not have tried before. It is also a great way to develop those crucial team work skills as they learn to rely on each other to complete the activities.

Please keep in touch with all of these events and many more through our monthly newsletter, which is accessible from the website too.
