This term, our theme for learning is ‘Active Earth’ and we will be exploring the structure of the earth and the way in which this effects natural disasters on the earth’s surface. For more information please open the link to our curriculum overview: Orangutans Curriculum Overview Autumn

Our school values are Respect, Resilience & Responsibility.

Our British Values Focus this Term

In our assemblies this term our British values will link to our school values of Respect, Resilience & Responsibility. We will be looking primarily at the British value The rule of law and mutual respect.

In class our focus will be on the British value Mutual Respect for and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs and for those without faith. We will explore these values through learning about the Islamic faith in R.E and through our Topic lessons when exploring different cultures.

Diversity

One of the seven outcomes we would like from our curriculum is for the children to develop their understanding of what it means to live in a diverse society such as Britain. To support that this term, we will be studying the five pillars of Islam and exploring how these relate to Muslim life.
