Due to the pandemic, the Department for Education cancelled formal assessments [SATs] for children at the end of Year 2 and Year 6 in 2020 and 2021. Below are the results achieved by our pupils in 2019, which is the last time the SATs were taken in schools.

Year 6 SATs
At the end of Year 6, pupils achieved the following SATs results.
Reading – achieving national expectations 94% [national 73%]. Achieving a higher standard 66% [national 27%]
Writing – achieving national expectations 87% [national 78%]. Achieving a high score 35% [national 20%]
Spelling, punctuation and grammar – achieving national expectations 90% [national 78%]. Achieving a high score 58% [national 34%]
Maths – achieving national expectations 90% [national 79%]. Achieving a high score 52% [national 27%]
Combined reading, writing and maths – achieving national expectations – 87% [national 65%]. Achieving a combined high score – 23% [national 11%]

Early Years
At the end of the early years 75% of pupils achieved a good level of development [GLD] compared to 71.% nationally.
Year 1 Phonics Screen Check
At the end of Year 1 83% of pupils *[90% without EHCP pupils] achieved the phonics screen check pass, compared to 81% nationally.
*Two children with an EHCP were not entered into the check
Year 2 SATs
At the end of Year 2, pupils were assessed as follows:
Reading – achieving national expectations 81% [national 76%]. Achieving greater depth 29% [national 25%]
Writing – achieving national expectations 74% [national 68%]. Achieving greater depth 23% [national 16%]
Maths – achieving national expectations 77% [national 75%]. Achieving greater depth 19% [national 12%]
