Welcome to The Busy Bees!
The class teacher is Mrs Roberts.
This term our learning will be around the theme of “How does your garden grow?”.
This term we will be learning all about our immediate environment to support our writing. We’ll be using 1 of Mrs Roberts’ favourite stories as a young girl, ‘The Magic Faraway Tree’, as a stimulus for some of our writing genres. In science we’ll be learning about plants and minibeasts and having a go at growing some of our own! Hopefully we’ll have lots of fun in our role play area – a Magic Faraway Tree of our own! We hope to visit Norton Priory and learn about the importance of bees for our planet too.
Our school values are Respect , Resilience and Responsibility.
In our assemblies this term we will be looking primarily at the British values of Rule of Law and Mutual Respect in relation to our school rules. Our assemblies will also link to our school values of responsibility, resilience and respect.
One of the seven outcomes we would like from our curriculum is for the children to develop their understanding of what it means to live in a diverse society such as Britain. To support that this term we will be looking at differences in people and how our behaviour towards differences can affect the feelings of others. We will use the texts, illustrations and discussions in our PHSCE and social skills lessons to help us with this learning.
Please take a look at our curriculum overview to see what else we will be learning this term:

Homework and spellings (where appropriate) will be sent home weekly on a Friday and need to be completed by the following Friday – please let me know at the door or phone if you need any help or extra resources to support your child with this.
