In our assemblies this term, our British Values will link to our school values of Respect, Responsibility and Resilience. We will be looking primarily at the British Value of Individual liberty and Mutual Respect.
In class, we will focus on the British Value of Mutual Respect and Tolerance of Those with Different Faiths and Beliefs when we learn about the importance of parables for Christians and the importance of light in different religions. We will also focus on our British value of Individual Liberty looking at how gender equality has changed since the Victorian times.
One of the seven outcomes we would like from our curriculum is for the children to develop their understanding of what it means to live in a diverse society such as Britain. To support that this term, we will address and explore diversity, by looking at the roles of boys and girls from the Victorian times to now.
